Vintage cut glass candy/posy basket The Royal Collection, St James' s Palace VGC.
Excellent pre-owned condition. Don't think it has ever been used, only displayed. A couple of tiny bubble inclusions dating from manufacture, otherwise basket has no obvious faults or damage.
Still in original clear plastic box which is slightly tatty in places.
Still has original description card.
Deeply cut round glass dish in the shape of a basket with a slightly squarish rigid cut glass handle fixed over the top.
Probably dates c1980s.
Probably a souvenir bought on a visit to St James's Palace.
Measures approx 13 cm tall x 12.5 cm wide including handle. Dish/bowl measures approx 4.5cm tall x 11cm wide.
Lovely quality with intricate starburst and catherine wheel style design.
Quite heavy for its size.
Provenance: belonged to a relative.
