Antique Edwardian Bing and Grondahl B&G Denmark stoneware Elephant figurine with howdah/match holder. Model number 2125/M. Stone/Creamish colour. According to the Bing and Grondahl mark this was produced c1915s Art Nouveau period, during the George V era but may be earlier/later. A rare example of this model in this colour.
Chip on underside of front left foot and tip of left tusk when viewed from the front.
Foot chip is less noticeable when upright.
Otherwise excellent pre-owned vintage used condition.
No other obvious chips/cracks/repairs/restoration.
Marked underneath with the Bing and Grondahl logo with Copenhagen Denmark below, B&G, 2125/M. The style of the mark indicates a date c1915s but may be earlier/later.
Measures approx 9.2cm tall, 8cm wide, 4.7cm deep.

Provenance: belonged to a relative (passed down from a previous generation).
