After 35 years of ownership I am selling my VW T2 1974 Devon Bay Camper Van. I have loved driving her and some people smile and wave when they see her. It is a lovely camper van.
Now that the family has grown up and moved on, the camper van needs an owner who can enjoy using it more.
The van has been looked after over the years and has had works on it; her body-work is in good condition considering her age. There are a some areas that show some initial rust, such as just below the windscreen. I have receipts for all the works carried out.
To name a few of these, there has been a complete engine and parts restoration, a new pop-up roof installed, a new windscreen, bodywork repairs carried out, and a few years ago the base was made made good throughout and a new rear bumper installed along with three new tyres.
The camper is categorised as an Historic Vehicle and is exempt from MOT and tax. However, a full service was carried out in April 2021. I use the van for local trips so the mileage will be a little above what is advertised.
Internally there are new seat covers and a skylight, the original VW camper stove, table , a CD player and speakers. There are rear seat belts. There is ample storage space. I have not replaced the rear seating (needs a new frame) with a rock and roll bed or new curtains because I think that is the choice for the new owner.
There is a breathable cover, a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual and an attached tow bar.
