VINTAGE ANGLEPOISE MODEL 1227 - HERBERT TERRY LAMP, DESIGNED BY GEORGE CARWARDINE.

In excellent vintage condition, no scratches, dents or chips at all.
Designed by George Carwardine for Herbert Terry & Sons and made in Redditch, England, this is an excellent original and Anglepoise lamp in full working order.
This is the model No.1227 first released in 1935 with a square two-stepped base in its original black lacquer painted finish. A great example of a timeless classic.
The original springs have perfect tension, all joints are free moving and the arms hold their position when moved. Only minor issue is the green baize material under the base which prevents scratching when the lamp is place on furniture is sightly loose in on corner, simply needs a dab of glue.
