Rare Vintage Lotts Toy Stone Building Bricks. Original Box And Instruction Manual. 0 Gauge Model Railways.

Lott’s Bricks Ltd. was started in 1918 and produced simple resin bonded artificial stone blocks in rectangular and wedge shapes - marketed as: ‘The game that builds the brain.”
This delightful building toy was intended for both boys and girls.
Lotts continued until 1960, by which time more modern plastic systems like lego had become popular.

The final Lotts architectural bricks sets came with plastic window blocks. These are included in the box being offered for sale here.

The scale of these particular building blocks matches gauge 0 railways.

There are 92 pieces, including three hinged printed card roofs (one 3.25 inches and two 4.25 inches) – all of which are stored in the original cardboard box, and accompanied by the original instruction manual.
It is possible that a few of the pieces may be from another Lotts set.

The pieces are in good played with condition, with some minor damage, commensurate with their age and previous use.

The original square cardboard storage box has an attractive coloured illustration on its lid which is evocative of a bygone era, and includes the number three.

The box is worn, particularly its corners, as is to be expected given its age.
Both the inside and outside of its lid have been scribbled on by a child, which actually adds to its charm.

The size of the box is approximately 23 cm x 22.5 cm x 4 cm.

When all the pieces are packed in the box it weighs approximately 2 Kg.

Please refer to the photographs provided to make your own assessment regarding condition.

Buyer to collect, and pay cash on collection please. Regret no returns accepted. Thank you.
