An Original Military or RAF Vintage Mahogany Tea Tray dated 1968. I suspect it's from the Officers Mess.
Even though it's an original genuine item, I was told that it was used as a TV prop in a late episode of "The Avengers". I haven't seen it yet though, I might see it one day.
It's a sort of dark blue RAF type coloured Formica. The sides are nicely jointed mahogany. So it's a well made, quality item. The writing's nice with the 1968 date & broad arrow. There's a felt strip either side to stop it from scratching a quality table. The felt strip is a little damaged on one side. There's expected minor scratches on the inside from use, which isn't surprising given its age. In expected used condition for a military item of this age & nature.
Approx 18 1/4" tall by 12 1/4" by 2" deep including the felt.
