I believe this is a Charming, Late, 19th Century, Ashanti / Akan Brass Figurative Gold Weight from Africa.
He's quite a Naive, but a well made detailed little chap. Far better made figure than the modern crude tourist ones that you see.
He weighs 36 grams.
He has a nice darkish age related patina. Modern reproductions would be a more shiny brass colour & have some sharp edges & poor quality casting seams. They would be quite poorly made. This one you can even make out his fingers & toes.
The base is 24mm by 28mm. He's 63mm tall.
In used original condition for an item of this age & nature.
