SCALE MODEL LONDON TRANSPORT 1948 Q1 TROLLEYBUS

The Q1 trolleybus, three axle and 35 feet long, was the finest trolleybus London has ever seen.

Built by British United Traction it superseded the “Diddler" of 1931 and had Metro Cammel bodywork to a width of 8 feet, rather than the 7 feet six inches of its predecessor.

In the early 1960s many were sold to Spain where they gave sterling service for many years.
