I believe this an Antique Book Binders Tool.

A lovely little quality tool, very tactile.

In expected, used, working condition, for an item of this age, nature & use.

I can't see a makers stamp, even though I suspect it would have been handmade. The handle is hardwood, probably rosewood or another quality wood. The metalwork is solid brass.

Approx 5 1/4" long in total length.
