The author’s advice is sound and her menus are delicious; many are simple enough for children to make on their own, others may need grown-up co-operation, but all are fun.
This book is a 1963 first edition published by C. Arthur Pearson, and printed by Cox & Wyman.

book contains 95 pages with 15 drawings and 8 pages of black and white photographs.
It still retains its original paper dust jacket featuring a colour photograph on the front of a mother cooking with two children.
Size approx 13.5 cm x 20.5 cm.
This book is in very good clean condition, having only been lightly used.
There are no loose or missing pages, nor are there any rips or tears or stains to the pages.
There is slight yellow discolouration on the edges of some pages – which is to be expected given its age.
The text and black and white photographs are still bright and clear.
There is slight foxing on the top of the text block.
The spine is intact and tight.
The dust jacket shows signs of wear.
Its corners and edges are scuffed, and there are small tears to its edges. The inside back flap has a crease running from top to bottom.
The inside front flap has been cut away where the item’s price was originally printed.
This is a private sale from a pet, smoke and Covid free home.
My mother hand wrote in ink on the inside of the book’s cover: “To Hilary With Love From Mommy.
July 17th 1965.
Happy Cooking.”
There are no other inscriptions or notes in the book.
