Very Rare Vintage 1970's Adler Tippa S typewriter, Italic Font, in a lovely cream with nice contrasting black keys and a black case.

Bought for my wife a present in 1972 but wasn't used very much at all, been in storage since 1973. Just taken out of storage to sell it on. Typewriter is like new and works great, the cover is in excellent condition other than the chrome bezel which has pitting, see photo.

It is in as new excelent condition. No keys are sticking and types great, could do with a new ribbon, current old ribbon still types albiet not bold, see photo. It has a very beautiful italic cursive font. Very rare for a typewriter.

It also comes with the original user manual.

CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY (WN4)

Triumph was one of the best-known names in typewriters for well over half a century, having started production in

1909; the Triumph name was used through successive corporate ownerships through the 1980's at least. In 1957
Grundig had taken over the Triumph typewriter brand in Nuremberg and in 1966 the Grundig-owned Triumph company took control of Adler. By the end of 1968, Triumph and Adler were fully merged and in January of the following year Litton Industries took over Triumph-Adler. That same year, Triumph-Adler, under Litton ownership, produced the bright coloured Tippa and Tippa S in Holland.

The Grundig Electronic-Triumph-Adler (GTA) joint sales organisation marked the practical start of the merger between Triumph and Adler. Development, production and administration were still separate entities, although
Triumph and Adler worked in close collaboration.
