Advert Description

Please feel free to make an offer.

A Rare Early Opaque Gilded, Gold Lamp. A really nice quality antique. I suspect that it's likely to be early Georgian / Regency Period, but please do your own research.

In expected used but good condition for an item of this age.
Obviously the upper part of the lamp is missing. I'm not sure if the missing opaque glass would of been semi-circular, to match the bottom half or maybe even a full circle. I believe both would work well. The bottom semi-circular
opaque glass is very thick. As thick as its metalwork above.  The nut under the light bulb fixing allows it to come apart. It will require rewiring by someone competent.

It's not magnetic, so I suspect that it's likely to be gilt bronze. It's definitely not a cheap spelter metal, as it's a quality item & has a nice heavy weight to it.

It's approx 6" tall.
The top ring is 3 1/2" in diameter to it's outer measurement.
The upper inner part of the upper ring is just over 2 1/2" in diameter.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
