Advert Description

Please feel free to make an offer.

A WW2 Zuckerman Helmet with Liner. Marked 1941 Size 7 JRS on its leather head band.

I believe it's called Zuckerman Helmet, but please do your own research.

The Zuckerman helmet, officially designated as the Civilian Protective Helmet, was a British helmet designed for use by civil defence organisations & the general public during World War II. It was researched & designed by Solly Zuckerman, Derman Christopherson & Hugh Cairns.

In expected used & poor condition for an item of this age & nature. A small part of the rim had rusted away. The rust & corrosion has a nice yellowish colour to it, especially when the light hits it.
Behind the lining is still rusty, but some original colour is still present. The outer & outer rim has been waxed & polished, so it's actually quite smooth & tactile.

It would make a great lamp if you mounted either a filiment bulb on the top, or inside if you could find an appropriate bracket.

The base is approx 12 1/2" at its longest dimensions.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
