Advert Description
Land Rover Series 2a, Diesel.
I am considering selling/swapping my series 2a Landy. Been in the family/friends for a few years now, but sadly not used much anymore.
Fully restored with a new galvanised chassis up rebuild. Lots of new panels, engine rebuilt, new interior, and a few subtle upgrades such as decent headlights, and a heated windscreen. It was rebuilt with many new parts/panels of which some are series S2a/S3, e.g. S3 dash, and some are aftermarket original pattern. So, it is not a pure all 'original parts' Series 2a anymore. Cosmetically maybe more Series 3. But it is a lovely looking Landy!
Loads of pics of the rebuild and whole folder of receipts, pics and details.

MOT Exempt
ULEZ Exempt
The only real bad bit is that the respray of the green got slightly damaged by pressure washing, so could do with a touch up in a couple of places to make mint condition.
However looks amazing for 51 years, although she does drive like a 51 year old Landy!
Swap for something special (with low mileage - ideally less than 60k miles):
Land Rover Defender 50th Anniversary (Auto)
Open to ideas on other Defenders!
Bentley Continental GT (Mulliner spec)
Also consider a swap for an automatic, low mileage car e.g. :
BMW i3 with a range extender
L322 Range Rover V8 Petrol (5.0) or maybe a 4.4 TDV8
Disco 4
4x4 camper van
Mini Countryman Cooper S
Audi S8
maybe an Audi A8/S8 with big engine
New shape (2020) Peugeot 2008 (in Orange)
Unless Land Rover want to make amends after my blown up range rover TDV8 engine and their appalling customer service, and swap for a new Defender 90 ... well no harm in asking!
Might also consider swap for a 4x4 expedition truck if I could find an auto one.
or a swap/PX for a Bentley Mk Vi or R-Type, or possibly a low mileage good condition and sensibly priced Esprit (not red) or Aston DB9/Vantage etc. Open to other ideas
Open to offers over £15k
