This is a Very Rare WW2 German Anti Personnel Cardboard Schu Artifact.

I have never seen one in a cardboard box before, not even in museum.

The Schu was a German anti-personnel device, used during the Second World War. It consisted of usually a simple wooden box. A slot in the lid pressed down on the striker retaining pin, sufficient pressure on the lid caused the pin to move, releasing the striker.
It was cheap to produce & deployed in large numbers.

In an expected very fragile condition for an item of the age & nature. It still retains a lot of original feel & has a nice colour to it. Its internal parts are corroded, but amazingly still there. Amazing that a cardboard relic has survived this long. It is perfect for display in any collection. It would be great if it ended up in a museum.

This is approx just over 4 1/4" square.

Completely safe & inert but a great piece of history.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
