Despite this Violins fun and funky looks it is a serious instrument, the Decoration does not affect the tone and quality of acoustic sound it produces with a loud and lasting resonance and, together with a guitar sound box, it produces some wild, whacky and wonderful sounds.
Typically this will suit an adult performer in either a Rock, Jazz, Folk, Country and Western or any situation where you need to amplify the sound to balance the overall effect of performance. Maybe someone just wants a bit of serious fun, why not!
The amplification is produced with a quality Trasducer Piezo Pick Up under the Bridge. All the electronics are secured in the body and do not rattle or affect the acoustics of the instrument when used with out the electronics.
Quality Strings are fitted but strings such as Dominant will enhance the instruments performance. I will fit at cost if requested. The peg box has been reamered and the pegs hold pitch well.
The Bow is probably not the original and tensions well. The Hair is a new one and has received an initial application of rosin it will however require a further application to get full resonance.
The Case holds the Violin and Bow firmly and the three catches are secure and hold good and the handle is good too.
There are no cracks or splits. The sound post is correctly set and firm. The base bar too is secure.
All these points are vital when buying a used violin.
Decorated Violins are not every body’s choice, I appreciate this, but it will raise and create very much interest and comments.
All is firm and sound with no problems and ready to play.
