Imperial German WWI Blue Max or Pour Le Merite with Golden Oakleaves.
This was The Kaiser's and Imperial Germanys highest award for bravery. This decoration has the addition of a set of gilt oakleaves mounted on the suspension loop. These oakleaves were awarded on the the case of extraordinary achievement. The cross itself is enamelled on both sides in blue and then finished in gold plate
