Completely fresh to the market. I believe this is a Very Unusual & Rare Snake Fossil Rock. Whatever it is, it's a great item of curiosity.
In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There are some sharp edges to the rock, which makes me believe that it’s part of the rock formation. I am no expert but think that it might be a type of iron ore rock, which has a sort of outer crust in places.
The snake skin bends around in a sort of curved shape & then comes back on itself, so I believe that the other end of the snake would have been a figure of eight type shape, in order for it to come back on itself in such an acute angle. I suppose it could be a branch however I don't imagine a branch would be able tto bend in such a flexible manner.
It's very tactile & fits well in the palm of your hand. It's quite heavy for a small rock at 0.410 kg.
It's approx 4" long at its two widest points. And approx 2" tall at its tallest part.
