I am told (by those in the know) that this rear axle is eminently suitable for an '88" Project'. The differential is sound, but the shock absorber lower mounting brackets have broken off the axle casing - but could be welded back on as they are with the axle. Apparently though, these brackets aren't required for an 88" Project, as the shock absorber lower mountings are different on the 88".
The drain plug is missing and the brakes are in need of a full overhaul. The brake drums and hub bearings are sound.
Due to the size and weight, the buyer must collect - 1 mile from M6 J7.
