Advert Description

In the 1950s, British made solid die-cast metal vehicles, by Dinky and Morestone, were the pride of most boys' collections and this fully mobile Morestone model, still fitted with tyres, is no exception.

Morestone were following other toymakers when they decided to make a model of a London double decker bus, similar to that produced by Dinky in the same scale.

It was based on the Leyland Titan and was an excellent bit of casting. Not surprisingly it proved to be a successful addition to the Morestone Series.

At around seventy years old, it has only a small piece chipped from its platform which can be easily rectified.

It's a fine survivor of its time and is eminently suitable for restoration or repaint should one wish.
