Three mature or semi mature Aloe Vera V. Barbadensis offered for sale.
This is the common and popular plant because of the gel found find inside its leaves Aloe Vera Gel is said to treat a lot of different aliments, from burns to the digestive system (not recommended to try unless you know what you ae doing).
Light Aloe Vera plans like in any South facing aspect but Aloe's are happy in a north facing one too. but growth will be slower and you will have to rotate the plant pot every month or so to ensure an even look.
Watering During Spring and Summer water every time the soil has dried out. From a week up to three In Autumn and Winter, water less frequently.
Humidity is really not important for almost all succulents and this includes the Aloe Vera plant.
Aloe Veras can take very high temperatures though i will expect a cooler temperature in Winter though, not less than 5°C / 41°F.
Height / Spread - normally 45cm / 18in in height. But spread can be more than that in many years.
Aloe's sometimes flower indoors.
The aloes offered for sale have all been outside all summer in London NW6 but have now been brought in for winter protection.
Priced at £8, £10 & £14 for the most mature one.
