Advert Description
Please feel free to make an offer.
Quite an interesting piece of WW1 Shrapnel, recovered from the Somme.
It would of been the rear & inner part of a device. Obviously there's not much left of this one, but it does have sculptural type quality.
It's approx 6 1/4" tall, at its highest point & the base is 2 1/2" in diameter.
In expected used condition for an item of this nature. There's obviously lots of characterful corrosion & damage. The base is made from iron & the upright part is made of copper. You could clean it up but I do prefer the greenish patina.
It would make a unique Xmas present or a nice addition to a new Military collection.
Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.
