Advert Description

Please feel free to make an offer.

An Original WW2 Signalling ADMIRALTY PATTERN A.P. 1,6, 0, 3, 2 for 1942.

I believe it may be quite rare, as I've never seen one before, or for sale.

An unusual item.  It appears to be a boxed set of signalling filters.  All the glass is good, with no cracks or chips. I believe this item was likely to have been fitted over a signal lamp & used to signal other ships via colours & flashes etc. The label on the box & the label on the main item inside, confirm this to be made to ADMIRALTY PATTERN 1, 6, 0, 8, 7 1942 for A.P. 1 6 0 3 2.
Both the unit & the box had identification plates.
There are two clear glass lenses & a middle unit stamped 1942. The unit looks like it's brass, with its original black lacquer or paint. The middle unit can be switched between red, green or clear.

Approx 5 3/4" in diameter.
The Box is well made, with elaborate brass hinges. It's 6 3/4 tall, by just under 7 by 4 3/4".

In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There's expected knocks & dents to box & the assembly, however, both still function as intended.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
