CHOKIN PLATE WITH STAND. MADE IN JAPAN

This plate has never been on display and kept in its original box since purchase.
It is in perfect condition.
The decorative design displays Japan's technique in achieving the finished plate.
On the reverse of the box it states that the images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold.
The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the Samurai Warriors.
This art was handed down for over eight hundred years.
