I’m starting to thin my old glass out that I used to collect but no longer display as I’ve gone onto specific types of glass now and haven’t got the room. This beautiful iridescent 6” tall Isle of Wight studio glass lollypop vase was designed by Micheal Harris and William Walker and is in the Azurene decor and in the black colour way (if you shine a back light to the neck of it, it’s dark blue which turns to purple lower down the body) the black was in production between 1978- December 2012. It has the gold and silver foil surface to the body with hints of other colours below the foil, there’s a black paper triangle IOW label to the base. It’s a stunning piece but I just haven’t got the room as my other glass has taken over my house! have shown photos of what the 2 Isle of Wight studio glasses look like side by side. This is purely for visual purposes as the second Isle of Wight Studio Glass piece is on a separate listing thanks. there is a raised blob of glass on the surface of the piece by the neck, this is not damage, it’s simply part of the manufacturing process as this was hand blown. It barely shows, tj me, it just forms part of the character of this beautiful item.
