Advert Description

Please feel free to make an offer.

A Rare French Prisoner of War Cribbage Dominoes Set, Carved from Cow Bone. It doesn't contain any Dominoes but the Cribbage board is still present & the convex cow bone cover. Believed to be from around 1790's.

In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There is a part of the side section missing & a chip of bone missing from the convex cow bone cover. Also, there is what looks like some historical glue under one of the thin side sections.

Leaves are intricately carved between where the pegs go. The little knob also has fine carving, as does the convex lid. It has a lovely warm yellow patina.

It’s fresh to the market & would be fabulous if it was purchased by a museum, so everyone can enjoy it.

Approx just over 6 1/2" long & just over 2 3/4" tall & just over 2 1/2" wide.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
