An interesting Antique 4lb Brass Weight. A Nice Unusual Shape, which is getting harder to find these days.
In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There's lots of expected marks, knocks & dings, but in my opinion, it just adds to its character. Exactly how you'd expect & want to find a weight of this age.
Made from solid brass, it has some stamps & numbers underneath, but my eyes aren't very good. There's also some faint writing on the top. It looks like "Pound" & obviously "4".
It would benefit from a further polish, however, I've tried not to over polish it & leave some of the original dark patina.
Approx just under 3" tall to bottom. Approx 3" at the widest part of its body.
A nice size weight for the collector & Fresh to the market.
