DINKY TOYS: LEYLAND ROADMASTER FROM 1960s

DUPLE ROADMASTER 1954

The Leyland Royal Tiger, styled Roadmaster with bodywork by Duple, first took to the streets of Britain in 1954 and Dinky Toys were quick in producing a white metal model of it and it became a staple part of young boys' collections.

This model, another to have been handed down over the years, is fully mobile with fitted tyres, but does need a repaint and some stabilising of its base plate to restore it to its original condition.

An ideal project for collectors and restorers of fine models that were once proudly produced in Britain.
