White and brown pure bred Ryeland ewe lambs all born late spring 2023 on our hobby holding here in Suffolk. Ryelands are the ideal sheep, with their teddy bear faces, medium size and lovely nature. They are docile and extremely easy to handle, much vaunted by the Tudors and a favourite of Elizabeth1. They were favoured particularly for their fine wool which would in Tudor times achieve prices way above ‘ordinary’ sheep. Ryelands, because of their docile nature, size and ease of training are the ideal sheep for those new to keeping sheep. Prospective buyers are most welcome to visit us, view the sheep and to ask as many questions as you like over a cup of tea or coffee. There is no obligation to buy, but you will find it hard to leave these absolutely beautiful sheep behind.
We have kept sheep as a hobby for over 35 years and are delighted to talk ‘sheep’ to anyone who will listen and no doubt at times to those who would rather not listen! Should you decide to buy, we are able to deliver anywhere for a reasonable price.
