A Vintage Mevagissey Harbour Scene in Cornwall. The Oil Painting is on canvas. It's been professionally mounted behind anti-glare glass.
Painted & signed by Artist Kevin Platt. He moved to Cornwall in the 1960s so it could be anything onwards from the 1960's.
Kevin Platt (1945-)
Artist Kevin Platt (b.1945) studied at Oldham School of Art & later the Manchester College of Arts. His paintings were created using a variety of techniques, as he was a master of textile & graphic design. He moved to Cornwall in the 1960s & focused mainly on seascapes, using vibrant yet realistic colors.
His collection of oil paintings includes harbors with docked boats, ships fighting at sea, & beautiful natural beach scenes. His classic townscapes still remained focused on the water, often drawing the eye towards the distant sea. Due to the popularity of his artwork, many of his seascape paintings were replicated on postcards & are considered very collectible items.
Approx 26" x 12" to the outer most edges of the frame.
