Better than a stair lift in so many ways, this indoor lift has capacity for a wheelchair and occupant, or a person seated or standing. Installed between the floors it can be parked on the upper floor leaving only two unobtrusive guide poles visible below. Secure in operation it allows access to the whole house for a mobility restricted person leaving downstairs almost unobstructed. The floor of the lift in the upstairs position forms the ceiling panel where a portion of original ceiling has been removed during installation.
