i m selling today a fully recycled /remade coffee / cocktail table for use indoor or out ..
the unit measures , the top 64cm x 42cm the overall size is 70cm x 49cm x 51cm tall
it is a wrought iron table with lovely scroll work
it has been sanded by hand, red oxide applied first to resist rust , painted in a matt light green , finished with a layer of matt clear varnish .
it came originally as they all did with a glass top ,but to make it nice for today this has been replaced with recycled wood in three coats of johnson's dark rosewood stain and to finish it off a nice bit of beeswax
making this a truly unique vintage (as i call it ) lovely rusty rescue .
now for the detail some could see as negative bits . it was a rusty rescue so not a smooth surface it has spent many years outside neglected as all these seem to do
.. after glass has broke , sanded down but the character is
left , similar with the wood , its not perfectly straight but it is solid with signs of wear .
personally i see it as character and signs of a real life , if not for you so be it . instead of slapping on some gloss i have used a softer matt paint , i think it looks different and nice and yes it truly was a pain to do ha ha ha and then coated in varnish for protection but you do need a bit more care to prevent chips .
