A Quality pair of Proportional Dividers.
A finely made pair of precision drawing tool. Surprisingly unnamed as to a maker, but they are of identical quality to the major German or English makers of the period.
The scales are engraved "Plans" "Circles" & "Solids". Of the two wheels, one rotates from a thumb screw on a sort of rack & pinion screw mechanism. It's housed in a brown leather style covered case, with a blue silk & velvet interior with a pin bar clasp, similar to Riefler or Richter cases.
The proportioning dividers measure approx 16 cms long when closed. The case is approx 20.5 cm long.
In expected used & excellent condition for an item of this age & nature.
