Advert Description
We are looking for either full or part time grooms for our yard in east meon.
Set in beautiful countryside the yard is peaceful and friendly with owners own horses and part and full liveries.
Duties consist of standard yard work of mucking out, turning out/ bringing in, feeding, haynets , making feeds, picking feet, rug changes and poo picking on a daily basis.
As well as this there are days when the horses need bathing and preparation for events the next day, in handing/lunging/groundwork , meeting the farrier and assisting the vet etc.
The position can include ridden work if wanted. The horses are very good however a certain level of competence and confidence is needed as most are big working driving horses and some liveries horses.
There is Also the opportunity to assist with driving horses out and can progress to learning to drive if interested.
We are looking for someone that holds a high standard of work and is driven by looking after the horses to their best ability and making sure they have everything they need. Someone very reliable and can work on their own as well as a team member.
Week consists of full days , 8am- 5.30pm ,at the moment but half days can be considered.
