This is a vintage item, last in use at the Midland Hotel (now Heriots), in Skipton approximately 50 years ago.
Duttons was an independent brewery taken over by Whitbread in 1964.
The Midland Hotel had a range of stables at the rear of the hotel, with a band room above it that was previously used as the coach mens accommodation in the days of horse drawn carriages.
When we had the Midland Hotel in the early 1980s, this room was long since abandoned and almost derelict.
The beer engine barrel front was rescued, along with the old bar, and has been in my care for around 40 years.
This is a unique piece of Brewery memorabilia, and would be of interest to someone from the Lancashire area .
