A Large Antique Officer's Campaign Chest
Originally held an officer's desk and personal items.
Although the desk and items have long since gone, we have on good authority from the surviving family member that it was their 'Great Grand Fathers' several times over and has been handed down through the generations which at earliest would be from the late Georgian period or very early Victorian period.
Due to the family member downsizing, we have enquired this amazing piece.
The lock is no longer present, and there are a couple of pieces of wood missing to the top right edge and bottom right edge, as can be seen on the photos.
It has had very few alterations over the years, so it is in very original condition, with its steel strengthening corner straps, and wrought iron handles for travelling.
We have left this piece as found.
