Full size 'infidel' violin handmade by Tim Phillips in Wales. Stunning instrument in excellent condition with a beautiful sound. Bought new directly from Tim Phillips circa 2000. It really is beautiful to play, with a lovely fast feel under the fingers, and a responsive rich tone over its full range.
This instrument is number 102 out of a total 500 which the maker created before he retired recently. These instruments are popular amongst trad/folk players, and every one is completely unique making them sought after collectors items. A striking instrument for any performer, a beautiful instrument to have and play.
Strung with Warchal Karneol strings, played in but fairly new. Original rosewood chin rest stained to match bridge, basic but solid case, and shoulder rest also included in the sale.
