Happily hacks alone with a confident rider and in company.
Sensible in open spaces, can feel forward.
Good with traffic.
Goes first, middle or last.
Very much a kick along ride in the school, and he finds it boring and switches off therefore I’m looking for someone who wants to mainly hack and keep the schooling to a minimum.
Plenty of people on the yard to ride out with, lots of variety of lovely hacking routes (short and long). He loves hacking, so I would like to keep this his passion.
Good for the farrier, vet and dentist.
Good to catch, needs a chifney to lead as he thinks grass calls his name.
He is good to groom but won’t stand around for hours.
Loads and travels well alone so possible trips out if wanted in the future (woods, beach etc).
Typical young cob on the ground and under saddle so needs someone who isn’t afraid to tell him how it’s going to go! He’s not nasty, just young, green and sometimes in need of guidance.
He loves a good scratch and fuss.
As much riding as you want in return for some chores around the yard, mucking out or Pooh picking etc.
No under 18s please!!
He is not a kids pony or a riding school horse so please don’t expect him to be a world beater that will provide you with a great schooling session, it’s just not for him!! He wants to explore and have fun!
No novices, joy riders or time wasters!!
Maximum 11 stone.
Own insurance preferred but not essential.
Must be consistent and reliable.
