Dexter is a 13h cob with plenty of personality. He is nearly 7 and been broken in and is looking and willing to further his education.
Dexter is great with children and goes out on hacks around the village, is fine with cars, dogs and any other animals he sees on his travels. His well behaved in an open field.
Dexter has also started schooling and his favorite exercise is poll work!
He has a lovely working trot and picks his feet up nicely. And a fun canter.
Whilst in company, he is an angel.
Dexters only issue is that he is not yet brave enough to go out or work on his own. He will happily hack or school with someone beside him on foot or any other pony. But does not have the confidence to work on his own.
With a bit of encouragement and time. I have no doubts he will pick this up easily as he has with everything else we have asked of him.
He is a sweet lad, and loves a groom and a cuddle! He’s good for the farrier, vet and dentist, putting on rugs, spraying down with a hose, putting suncream and fly spray on. Nothing phases him. He is turned out all through the summer and stabled at night in the winter.
Dexter would be perfect for a confident child who wants to ride in the company of other horses or a leader or a small teen who is happy to put the work in to get him to work alone.
Only selling as my neice has outgrown him and granddaughter has lost interest
