A Poet Laval Pottery jug/vase with Sunflowers in relief. Le Poet Laval is a commune in France where this pottery is made. This jug/vase is white with a yellow sunflower and greenery on each side which is in relief. This particular jug/vase dates back to the mid 90's and was purchased in Chester. Its measurements are approx: total height 7" (18cm), bottom diameter 3.1/2" (8.5cm) x 4" (10cm), top diameter from edge of lip to opposite edge 5" (12.5cm), top diameter across the narrow edges 3.1/2" (9cm) & the widest width from the handle to the lip 7.1/2" (19cm). It weighs 0.748kg. The jug is in very good condition with chips, cracks or stains. It has always been used as decoration only. The bottom of the inside has 3 small manufacturing bubbles beneath the glaze. Despite much effort I have been unable to get true photos of the inside. The inside looks dark because of the shape I think. It is nice and white and clean. The jug is dishwasher ssfe and has been washed for sale. This is a lovely jug and unusual with its own charm and I would like to see it re-homed as I no longer have much space. Postable/collectable. I will combine with other items I am selling.
