A rare 1817 gold sovereign, commemorating George III, is set into this ornate silver punch ladle. Antique silver punch ladle belonged to my father’s grandmother, who ran an inn in Sussex. The maker was James Le Bas.

Made in Dublin, 1819.

This beautiful 1817 Sovereign coin features the portrait of King George III and is made of 0.916 gold. It was minted during the Milled era between 1816 and 1837. This rare Sovereign has a face value of one pound and is in itself a valuable addition to any collection. The year of issue and denomination of this coin make it a sought-after item for collectors. The intricate design and historical significance of this Sovereign make it a must-have for any coin enthusiast.
