Basil, Welsh x Cob, 13.1hh approx. Gelding.
Sadly with a new (human) baby, I simply don't have the time for Baz. Fairly long term loan at 2-3years with possibility to extend.
Had him since he was 6 months old. Very lightly backed Jan/Feb last year and been turned away since to mature. Didn't put a hoof wrong under saddle, not pushed to keep things positive. Has done a lot of long reining and groundwork including archery (doesn't flinch).
Classic chestnut Welsh pony. He's a sweetheart but is cheeky and green. Responds well to positive reinforcement, but as a somewhat spicy youngster, he is unsuitable for a novice and only available to riders experienced with young ponies. I have no doubt he will make an excellent pony club/mounted games or jumping pony in the right hands - LOVES jumping. Happy for the right person to do as much as wanted with him.
For full loan and can move within an hour of Alfrick. LWVTB considered for perfect home.
Due to being turned away the past year, very much from the field as a blank canvas with a good start that shouldn't take much to bring back into work.
Travels well in a box but not used to trailer (don't have access to one for training but should be possible to overcome with a considerate approach).
Currently lives out in a mixed herd on a track system. Needs company.
Good with vets, farrier and dentist.
Inc. wardrobe.
Small splint from old injury in field, never been lame.
