JPW AP2 speakers, serviced & upgraded crossovers + Heybrook Stands

The AP2 uses the same excellent Vifa mid-range / bass drivers as Audio Note AN-K/SPe speakers and SNELL Type K MKI. Which i believe is an ultra stiff, doped, paper cone.
This is sealed cabinet design (no port) so room placement is easy - they can even go up against a wall. The sealed cabinet also helps create clean, punchy bass.
With quite high sensitivity these speakers are easy to power - i used a 12 watt Class A valve amp and also a 60 watt Class D amp - both were good matches.
Included are a pair of Heybrook 'Point Five' speaker stands - they have anti-vibration dampening pads under each speaker bottom corner. The stands have floor spikes in which are removable.
The professional upgrades (see photos) were carried out by Anapeach Restoration:
- Crossovers rebuilt with new, matched Solen capacitors, Expotus ceramic resistors and new ALR4 woven cables
- Full Internal Re-wire with 3-core OFC cabling (twisted 3 pairs)
- New terminal board gaskets
- New Butyl tweeter gaskets
- New bass gaskets
The foam surrounds are in good condition and did not need replacing.

Bi-Wiring - yes (cans also use standard 2 speaker cables by not removing cable between the speaker posts)
