I have a 16hh thoroughbred mare and 15hh Anglo-Arab looking for a part loan opportunity. The ideal rider will be happy to ride both (in case one has been ridden or lost a shoe etc).
The riding is fantastic around our 500-acre farm or exploring the many bridleways Exmoor has to offer. There is also an arena to hire a short trailer ride away too.
You don’t have to do the boring stuff such as mucking out etc, but if you’d like to - I’m not going to say no!
It’s £100 a month, this will be used as a contribution towards feed, shoes, health checks etc. You will need your own insurance which you can get by becoming a BHS Gold Member – proof will be required.
You can ride as often as you like, as long as the horses are fit & well. You will not be riding alone to begin with. I will ride out with you until you’ve got to know the horses & the area.
The horses are not novice rides – they are not riding school horses. You must be able to walk, trot and canter unassisted and be over 16 years old. The weight limit is 12 stone maximum.
I’m situated just outside of Wheddon Cross on Exmoor.
Unfortunately our farm entrances are very rough, so a 4x4 or SUV style car is needed to access us.
