Tom is a 13.2hh 6 year sports pony (WPB x Riding pony)
He loves to jump and does a good dressage test, would make an amazing BSJ / PC pony / WHP! Tom likes to work and learn new things, but can be a bit cheeky and cautious in new situations due to age.
Tom was backed by myself and has been ridden by a variety of children with varied abilities and experience. He performs well for an experienced or competitive rider, and will step down to be a lead rein pony with a competent handler and will teach a more novice rider.
Tom has competed and placed at unaffilated dressage, jumping, eventing and showing. He is used to competing at large venues and stay away shows, but can get distracted when there's lots going on. He travels well on a horsebox and in a trailer both alone and in company.
He stands nicely for the farrier, to be groomed and plaited, and to be hosed off and bathed. Tom particularly enjoys polework and varied schooling exercises.
Tom hacks out alone or in company and is good in traffic. We are on a busy yard, so used to heavy machinery, children and various animals.
Tom is to stay on our current yard between Darlington and Stockton, we have amazing facilities (indoor arena, 3 outdoor arenas and XC field). Financial contribution required as well as yard duties (Tom usually lives out 24/7). References may be requested, and insurance and contract need to be in place.
