My wife's trusty Avensis 2.0l diesel is now up for sale as the shape of the car no longer suits our needs (baby and a dog). £800.
It’s been a cracking car and all it ever needed was general wear and tear stuff (brakes, etc) never put a foot wrong for us and never not started first turn of the key. It has 176681 miles on the clock and MOT until the end of November. We bought it as a run around and it’s still a decent run around now. Pulls like a train. Different level to the gutless Honda Civic we replaced it with! Great on diesel too. Goes forever on the motorway.
GOOD POINTS -
*It’s has £1200 spent on it in the last 2000 miles/4 months including ALL brakes and new radiator system. (with all receipts)
*All new rear discs and pads have 300 miles on them! The handbrake is on the first click.
*All new front discs n pads and a bearing have around 2000 miles on them.
*Had total new radiator and thermostat 20 miles ago!
*Coil spring and mount have 1000 miles on them.
*Full leather interior
*All electrics work - all windows, central locking, electric seats, heated seats, electric folding mirrors, light-up vanity mirrors, cruise control, dual climate control, etc, etc. Really good spec car.
*Nice alloy wheels
*Tires all have plenty of tread (could be rotated as fronts are obviously lower tread)
*Tinted rear windows (rear passenger has a small rip)
*Has two advisories on MOT - a ridiculous one for the child seat and one for a reg plate bulb! May as well be no advisories.
*Two central locking keys and full V5
BAD POINTS -
*Cosmetically rough in places. If we went round it with a pad and pen and started listing marks - we’d be here until next Christmas! It is what it is - a 20 year old runaround with a long MOT. It was rough when we got it and it’s still rough now.
*Wants a valet.
*An alloy is missing a centre cap (be a tenner if ya find can one on Ebay - I couldn’t)
