A lovely pair of Original WW2 RAF Leather Trigger Finger, Gunners Gloves, or Mittens. I'm not quite sure whether the Pilot would wear them, but I suspect it would be aircraft dependent on whether they had a separate Gunner, or Gunners in the aircraft with them. I don't suppose they'd be versatile & flexible enough for the pilot. But Please do your own research.
In expected used but good condition for items of this age & nature. The leather's in good condition, as they're usually cracked, hard or the stitching's gone.
The leather around the gauntlet is a thicker harder brown leather. The gloves are in a softer yellowish leather, with expected characterful discolouration from usage.
Not sure what size they are, but I have medium sized hands & they fit me fine. There's a sort of grey woollen type material on the inside.
A nice colour & feel, exactly how you'd want to find them with lots of character.
I haven't noticed any RAF marks, broad arrows or numbers. There's a stamp mark on each glove, however, it's too worn to make out what it says.
There's sort of three fingers. One for your trigger finger, one for your thumb & a mitten part for the rest of your fingers.
