17.1hh 10 yr old TB gelding based in Crawley West Sussex. Due to his size and strength you must be an experienced, calm and confident rider who’s used to big forward horses! 12.5stone maximum
Sonny is used to all sorts of traffic and will hack out in company but solo will want to get back
Home so does get strong and call out a lot. Has hacked alone at previous yard so just needs consistency.
Sonny has 3 beautiful paces but does need a little more schooling to further his education, which I’m currently doing with the help of an international show jumper. I would like his loaner to have lessons preferably with the same instructor just while Sonny is being schooled so that there is consistency with his education, unless u have bought horses on before or have experience with schooling, Sonny will start jumping again once his schooling is complete, He absolutely LOVES jumping and does get excited hence the school work must be better before his jumped again. He has done some local showing last year and was placed in every class, and has also entered online dressage, which he has scored and placed well in! Sonny needs a calm and consistent rider to help him progress gradually and not be rushed or over jumped. It’s taken me a very long time and a lot of hard work to get him to where he is now, so you absolutely must be a confident, sensible and experienced rider and understand he is a sensitive horse. Stable duties are required including mucking out to a good standard, and a monthly financial contribution is a must! Also you must have ridden videos to show me please as I don’t want anymore time wasters. I’m also happy for the right person to complete/ show him this year .Based at a lovely friendly yard in Ifield Wood, with a floodlit school but there are some restrictions on using the school a couple of days a week
