An Antique Box for Restoration.
I'm not sure whether it's a Tea Caddy, as there's no compartments inside, but please do your own research.
In expected used & very poor condition for an item of this age & nature.
It would make a nice renovation project. There's two piece's of thin beading that have come off. Other bits of beading are missing. There's a few small ripples in the veneer. Some bits of veneer are missing & cracked. The top handle might have been added but is a nice marriage. It requires tightening, as do the screws under the Lions claw feet. The lid’s only held on by one hinge & the locks also missing. The colours patchy in places but is in "as found" condition. Basically it requires alot of work, but has the potential to be really nice. It has some nice colour & proportions.
Approx 11 3/4" by 4 1/2" by 6 3/4" to the top of the handle.
