Volkswagen T2 Devon Moonraker, Yellow, 1972, 1600cc petrol engine, 4 Door, manual transmission.

This is an unfinished project, brought over to Ireland from the UK in 2012.

Devon Moonraker model, The Devon company were the official UK VW converters of type 2 vans from 1972 which they began producing in 1956/7. they operated out of the ' Alexandria works in Sidmouth Devon and later Exeter until 1985.

Rock n Roll bed, sleeps 2 people comfortably. Roof lifting up on side axis with an upper berth to sleep 2 people comfortably. Roof is hard Perspex material giving extra protection from rust. Internal gas cooking facilities and sink.

I have used this van since 2012 as an everyday vehicle and touring extensively in Ireland and Europe.

There is significant rust on the body of which I have been treating using anti rust and sanding back as well as resin fibre glassing. As it stands I believe I have taken care of most of the rust. However there are rust issues structurally. Mechanically the engine is pretty sound and has always started without problems. It has not been running for the past year.
